This may not be strictly a PG question, but maybe you guys can shed some light on it...
As we use PG and websurf, it appears that when the web browser sends a request for a blacklisted resource, PG simply does not send the message. There does not seem to be any step where it tells the browser that the request wasn't sent. Therefore the browser is stuck waiting for a reply that will not come, which delays other requests that the browser could be making. (i.e., it bogs down my websurfing!).
Is there any way (with PG or otherwise) to stop that wait? With a message back to the browser, or perhaps an "empty" reply to the request?
